MG MGA - MGA Day (UK)

Anyone going to the MGA day this weekend?

I hope to be there Graham, the weather forecast doesn't look too bad during the day, rain forecast from approx 7.00pm apparently (BBC Weather online)
My car has a very slight exhaust blow from somewhere under the bonnet and so In hope to be able fix it on saturday and hopefully not make it any worse.

Great video Mark.

If anyone wonders what the continuous crackling noise is on the video it is actually the rain bouncing off either marks hat or his umbrella! Im surprised that your video camera survived being drenched like that Mark.

It was one of my wettest days ever out in my MGA and it was a shame as it meant that very little time was spent actually outside with the cars.

But we enjoyed chatting with everyone in the Court and in the superb cafe so it was a great day out in spite of the weather.

On the plus side, the 2-speed wiper motor that I have recently fitted had a proper test run and it worked a treat on the way home.

We had hoped to go down to this event as NT fogeys but got grabbed to look after daughter's cat instead. In any case, the weather looked lousy.BUT,it was nice to see an Alamo Beige one there. Our's was and I have never seen one since. Thanks for the brilliant video.

Thanks for the video, watched from the dry and warmth at home. Sadly I couldn't make it in the end but it looked an excellent turnout with some great looking cars

No Umbrella Colyn, I just got wet and so did the old camera, you can see my hand slip into shot every now and then trying to protect it.

I took this nice photo on the way out.

I was having a very nice roast lunch before I took the video but alas many MGA's had already given up and left by 1pm, which was a shame.

A credit to Johnnie for organising this event.
