MG MGA - MGA door scuff plate info please
Hi folks. Years ago, Amco? made aluminum door panel "scuff plates" to protect the front bottom section of the vinyl covered door panel from scratches and scuffs. I would like to make a set of these scuff plates for my 1500 roadster. Does anyone have a pattern, or approximate dimensions for these triangular shaped scuff plates? Thanks, Glenn |

I have a pair of these scuff plates fitted on my door panels on my 1500. They are made of brushed aluminium. They were on the car when I bought it so I haven't a clue where they were bought from. Glenn I will measure them and send you a pattern sometime next week. |

Thanks guys, your efforts are appreciated. Hey Barney, the custom door closure pulls in the one photo are kind of nifty. What vehicle were the door pulls transplanted from? ;-) Glenn |

Glenn: You can check out Moss Motors part number 240-700, Scuff Plate - Door at $49.94 and you can check out Little British Car Co.(www.lbcarco.com), same part number but price is $42.46. These are the plates you are looking for your MGA. I got a set a few years ago and the work well. Bob |

F Camilleri, I would appreciate a copy of a pattern also. Is there some way you could post an actual size print? Thanks and have a good day! My email is johnprogess@comcast.net. John |

Glenn H, - I think the door pull is a T-type grab handle accessory. See here: http://mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29712 |
