MG MGA - MGA sales brochures
Were dealer sales brochures available for the 1959 1500 model? I'm aware of a couple of early brochures at introduction, and again when the 1600 model came out and when the twin cam was introduced. Thanks! George |

I can't answer your question definitively, but I have a lot of MGA brochures from different years and I don't have a 1500 from 1959. The newest printing I have for the 1500 model is from 3/58. And the earliest later model brochure I have is a Twin Cam brochure from 4/58. So this may not answer the question, but it will at least give some data. |

I haven't seen any 59' 1500 brochures either. Since the 1600 came out in early 57' & the Twin Cam shortly after, I doubt that there would have been any new advertising for the 1500 series cars. I'd expect all focus would have been on the new models coming out. |

Nick, While I agree with your logic that it is understandable for there to be no 1500 brochures dated 1959, and the 1500 overlapped with the Twin Cam from April 58, the 1600 was not produced until May 1959. |

Thanks...seems to confirm my experience. The brochures from '58 cover the 1500 model, and I have not seen a brochure printed in 1959. George |

Shanerje, you are correct as to the dates; they were typo's on my part. Twenty lashes! |
