It says a 1958 model - tail lights seem incorrect? I have asked for serial nos. Does anyone know this car?

The YJ series of registration numbers indicates a re-registration. This means that either the original number has been re-allocated or, more likely, it is an import. It is therefore quite possible that the original year for the car has got confused somewhere.

Do you have a copy of the database giving this type of information? My database shows YJ as Brighton but makes no suggestion that it is a re-registration series. Most imports I have seen have Scottish re-registrations. Mine for example is SJ.

YJ was Dundee originally then later used by Brighton. My car was re-registered TYJ.

Mike, The twin-cam in our club also has the later 1600 style tail lights - fitted by the owner as a safety measure - so I don't think that I would worry about his feature. The rest of the car looks stunning as does the price! cheers Cam

DVLA Shows it was first registered in 1994....
DVLA is not always right though.
