MG MGA - my old MGA's
Hi all one of my old MGA's that I owned in about 1976/77 has just turned up on the DVLA reg site I have often looked for it does it belong on here anywhere reg no XRO 300 in white first reg 26/5/56, my other one 957 BUL does not appear on the site but I have confirmed with the DVLA that it is still alive and they forwarded a letter for me but to no avail, if anyone knows these cars I would love to see them again and talk to the owners Gordon |

OK, we need the truth. When you sold them what was the state of their tool kits? |

Hi Malcolm from memory neither had a tool kit, in fact 957 BUL didn't have a boot floor lol , i put a piece of hardboard on top of the fuel tank to stop stuff falling out and that was in 1972 so the car was only 13 years old then being a 1959 car

Hi again, just a bit more info on 957 BUL I paid £250 for it knocking the chap down from £300, he also told me that it was originaly a "works" car and had a different reg and was supposed to have had a racing history and I did see a paragraph in Thorobred and Classic cars from about 1976 where someone was actualy mentioning the car as 957 BUL and being unusual as it had a titled owner and was probably the only chauffeur driven MGA, I wish I still had the article Gordon |

Here's my old MkII. I had rolled it down into a creek late one night and then put it back together for $105.00 breaker yard Windshield, front fender, driver's door, and rear fender. The Mk I grille came afterwards just to finish her off. Old license plate was XLS 119 I think... I traded it plus $200.00 for a 1963 Healy 3000 the first model with roll up windows. This was 1970. Check out the troll doll on the cowl.

Hi Gordon, The other web site which works somewhat like the DVLA one is here: https://www.mycarcheck.com/ or for your car https://www.mycarcheck.com/check/957BUL/ I think they have a £2.50 service which might give you a little more to go on. I guess you have read this: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/buying/buy107.htm Good luck Mark. |

Hi again Mark, had a good look at all that info on your cars you sent me , I have checked both cars on those sites but they don't give any new details gordon |
