MG MGA - New Radiator needed
Need to replace the radiator that came with my 56 1500 roadster, unknown what the PO put in. Looking for recommendations regarding the usual sources or custom. The car is in Florida and subject to high heat environment. |

Get the old one recored with the original type core |

I did a recore years ago as Dominic recommends; radiator cools as expected and its original. One vendor for the original cellular core is Maine Auto Radiator (there may be other vendors as well. They don't do retail, so you need to have a radiator shop order the core. http://www.maineradiator.com/jaz_maineautoradiator.html |

My understanding is that Terry has a non-standard rad fitted at the moment, but I could be mistaken. |

If that's the case then pretty much any typical MGA supplier will have a replacement tank available. Moss has their Gold Series tank on sale right now for $240. Wizard cooling has an aluminum radiator for $450; you can also go to Ebay and see lots of units in the $200+ range. I personally don't like the aluminum units, but others have successfully used them. Some units have fitment issues, so be sure that you can return it if you need to. |

Thanks for the comments. I do have a non0riginal radiator. I think I will order the Moss tank. |
