There's a hardback MGA Clausanger on UK ebay, just gone on, starting price £9.99. It will be interesting to see if the price matches speculation.

As Neil said. The hardback is available to pre-order for June delivery at Amazon.com.uk. Funny that it isn't available for pre-order on the US Amazon site. Maybe I should ebay mine now before the word gets out and order a new one later??????

I thought I had a real bargain, I paid just under £17 for a hardback in ok condition on Ebay last week! I'm currently working on the interior trim and need the pictures now so I'm still happy with my purchase.

Yep it was me. I will now confess that my maximum bid was over £60!

I had read the various threads here about reported prices etc. and I was aware of the recent sales at overly inflated prices. I was only paying over the odds because I needed the reference. I'm new to MGAs and I'm currently retrimming the interior of our recently purchased 1959 OEW 1600 roadster, in anticipation of next summer. I was aware that there was probably going to be a re-print and to be honest I was not bothered about soft or hard back copy, I just wanted the pictures.

I had pre-ordered a copy of the June 2010 edition, but just had a standard email from Amazon telling me the order has been cancelled as it has been discontinued. But the book is still shown on their site for June publication (along side one used copy listed at £844.98!!!) so was thinking (hoping) maybe a cancellation email is sent automatically if the order is unfullfilled after a fixed period of time.
Anyone have any idea please?

My softcover fetched over $100 on eBay. There were 12 bids and over 30 "watchers" tracking the auction. So clearly there are MGA enthusiasts/collectors who are driving up the price. Does anyone know for sure if they are planning on reprinting it, or is it an Amazon mistake?

Motorbooks were the publishers of my hard cover bought in 2003. I phoned them last year and they said they were not planning to do a reprint. However, if the copyright is still with ADC then I guess he could get another publisher to do a run........mike

Yeah, and these last two years, the one I bought on Amazon in 1999 for less than the publisher's suggested price is doing better than my 401(k)!

Its my B-day today, so I think I may splash out on the Clausager book. Not bothered about hard/soft cover.

What is interesting is that it is available on amazon UK, but not on Amazon US.

At the moment it seem like $40 is the lowest I can find, including shipping from UK.
