MG MGA - Palermo info
Hi all , not tool kits this time, but I wondered if there is anyone on this site that lives in or near Palermo Italy , I am doing some research into the fate of an old sailing ship the was used in some old films, it was called the Marcel B Surdo and was last seen laid up in Palermo in about 1971 and using Virtual Earth I found what appears to be the sunken hulk of a wooden ship but I think that this may be HMS Lydia that was used in the 1950 film Captain Hornblower , and I was after anyone who could confirm these details for me, all the wrecks now appear to have been removed as the area was redone thanks Gordon, sorry for a non MGA thread |

Hi Steve, I have spoken to the chap that took that photo in "1971" lol and there certainly was no MGA in the original very clever though, I seem to have moved from old cars to even older ships but not many on ebay i.e. For sale one English Man o War 18th century, one careful owner R.N.complete with trailer, now in need of some light restoration, all cannons complete with tool kits and wicks, no reserve would suit ex MGA owners Gordon |
