MG MGA - Petrol cap
Graham, How about using pond liner material, or similar material; perhaps two layers bonded together. You can make your own gasket then. Regards Colin |

Weird. And also weird is that washer arrived in the post today! I had decided to give up trying to make one, but waited to include it with another order from Moss, as the carriage cost was too expensive to buy it on its own. |

don't forget to stuff a rag in the filler pipe to avoid dropping things into the tank when working on it! |

Thanks Dominic - good idea. |

Or just undo the hose clips to the pipe, in the boot, and take the pipe & cap to the bench to do the work. Regards Colin |

Old joke about a petrol cap! A guy walks into an old time garage and asks “I’m after a petrol cap for a MGB” Young counter jockey calls out to the owner “there is a guy here after a petrol cal for an MGB” Owner shouts out from the back of the shop “Sounds like a fair swap”! |

Mike As an MG owner, I dont find that funny! :) But that did remind me of this CCTV footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vupgBykQnko |
