MG MGA - photograph
I have tried to up;oad a picture, but have been told it is to large. I'm a bit of a novice with these computers, so I can I reduce the size? (No smutty comments, please) |

Nigel, Do you have a photo editing program (Adobe Photo Shop, etc)? If so, its pretty easy to change the size. I find that a 6 in. x 4 in. (15 x 10 cm) works pretty well. Cheers, Gerry |

Nigel, I use Fast Image Resizer, it's small, free and very easy to use. I can reduce images down to 800 x 600 from my 6 mega-pixel camera that upload straight to this site. It took this picture down from 2.4Mb to just 135k. It doesn't alter the originals but makes a reduced size copy. http://adionsoft.net/fastimageresize HTH Mike ![]() |

Thanks Gerry. I have been given a stack of old car magazine. The earliest is from April 1935, plus several in the 70's. One has a feature on Ted Lund's Le Mans car,SRX 210, with pictures. I will try and reduce them, and post them later |

Nigel The other method we use for either adding words and lines to photos, or putting 2 or more photoes into each post is to create a PowerPoint slide. The trick is then to save the slide as file type "JPEG Interchange Format". See attached PowerPoint slide that I saved to show you how. Steve ![]() |

Nigel I'm guessing you are unfamiliar with PowerPoint then? Not to worry, you obviously have found a package to sort your sizing out. Nice picture of the back of SRX, most pictures tend to be of the front and side. I am waiting for my stack of old magazines to arrive. My son's friend is sending me a set of 'The Motor' annual car tests 1955 to I believe 1977. Said to be in A1 condition and contains all the MGA tests. Steve |

Steve, I have now found Powerpoint and am experimenting. Even the old adverts in the magazines are interesting. |
