MG MGA - problem viewing images

Does anybody else have a problem viewing the image that is in the first posting of a thread? Without fail, I cannot see the image.

Andres Losin

Yes. Same issue for me.
Andy Bounsall

Same for me, and occasionally others in the threads.

No problems this end.

No problem for me either,

Nor me!

Well I live only a few miles from Steve and I don't get the first one - but the others are OK!
Cam Cunningham

I can never see an image that is in the first posting in a thread. If the poster posts his question in the first post, and then posts the image in the second one, then it works.

VERY occasionally, other images are not visible, but that is very seldom

Is the complaint that the image does not open up or is it that the word 'Image' is not even visible? I am slightly confused with the question.

So, does anybody have an idea of the cause? Does it depend which operating system or browser you are using? I have the same problem on both my home computer (Windows XP, IE 6) and my work system (Windows Vista, IE 7). Those of you who don't expeience this problem...what are you using?
Andy Bounsall

Steve, the problem is that when you click the image link at the bottom of the posted message, a new window opens, it appears to be downloading the image, but you end up with nothing but a little box with a red X in the upper left corner of where the photo should be displayed.
Andy Bounsall

I have the problem on OSX and XP, and it also seems to be independent of browser used

What anti virus are all you guys using? For instance, I am told that Norton ad blocker can cause problems like this. There has to be a common link between you all.

Anti-virus??? On a Mac??? I've only had one virus in more than 20 years....

Steve, Andy is correct. New window opens, nothing appears but a little red x in a box. I'm using XP Pro with IE6.
