MG MGA - Rear fender captive nut picture please
I would really appreciate if someone would post a picture of the captive nut area of the rear fender - i.e., at the back of the wheel arch is a captive nut welded to the inside of the fender wheel arch, and the one on my car was cut off. Id like to try and recreate it, but cannot find a picture. Many thanks. Tom |

Do you mean the one for attaching the bottom of the rear splash guard? If it is this one I've attached a picture of the ones you can get from Todd Clarke. They're so cheap it's not worth making them...............Mike

i just bent a piece of metal and drilled a hole in it, then used a nut/lockwasher.washer - worked just fine. JIM in NH |

Here is a (poor) picture of the originals. Quite different in detail from Todds replacement, quite simple to make if you felt so inclined.

Thanks so much. All the help is great. Got the captive nut parts from Clarke's Spares, and they are very nice. Thanks to all. |
