MG MGA - Recomend a UK insurance company

Can anybody recommend a good insurance company for my MGA . Agreed value and low mileage , There seems to be so many to choose from in the UK so would rather go by personal recomendation.

Thanks Roy

Try a couple of comparison sites and go with the cheapest! That's what I used to do. Now my classics are covered under my business insurance.

I use Adrian Flux at the moment and have done for about 9 years. Prior to that I used Lancaster who are linked with MGOC but started to go expensive . I then used Peter Best for several years as they were fairly competitive, until they took ages to process a straight forward claim .However I have not yet had to make a claim with Flux although they give fairly competitive quote. .

I am with RH Specialist Insurance Division through Equity Red Star. Fully comprehensive. Agreed valuation. Unlimited mileage. European travel. Roadside recovery. Legal protection. £130.

I have used Peter Best for the last 20 years their premiums are always competitive and do not increase much each year

I use Lancaster who insure my MGA (mk2 coupe)for about £68 including business use with Groupama insurance company.
3000 miles limit £14,000 agreed value.(I think this might be a touch low)

It is also worth remembering that if you have AA or similar cover on your every day motor you will probably not need the breakdown / recovery cover that is automatically applied to your policy. Your AA policy has to cover you and not the car and then any car you are in is covered. Saved me about £30 ish and since I have 2 classics I got double savings. ( each policy has its own bd / recover element. Policy now costs £80 with Heritage
