MG MGA - Robert P. Vitrikas MGA Restoration Guide

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site but I found it through a search for the Robert P. Vitrikas MGA Restoration Guide.

The reason for my post is that my grandfather's car is on the cover. I had a copy of the book that had been signed by the author, something to the effect of "Robert, without you I wouldn't have a cover." The book was the 1980 Edition. I accidentally donated it to the St. Louis County Library a few months ago.

If anyone happens to come across this book I would appreciate it more than I can say if they would sell it to me. Thanks so much,

Ouch! What a painful loss, Daniel. You might put an auto-notification on eBay, which would send you an email each time "Vitrikas MGA" (or some similar search terms) appears on an item up for auction.

Check out the library's book sales. That's what usually happens to donated books.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Now I'm sorry you can't have my copy as its now far too precious as I had to have it professionally rebound before I could read it, as it fell apart on opening! There is one whole lot of information in this book and what a good read. Interesting the front cover pic was your grandfather's car. Just in case you need a reminder I've scanned and uploaded that front cover for you - so at least you have the picture back.

When I first bought my MGA 15 years ago, I bought a copy through BritBooks, http://www.britbooks.com/ at Twist's summer party. I don't know if they do as much sourcing of out-of-print books as they used to when Ron Embling had BB, but it may be worthwhile to check with them.
