MG MGA - Savannah Regional Anyone?

Melon and I will be driving down from Long Island, NY. Several of the Mid-Atlantic club, including NAMGAR Historian, Bill Marshall, will also be going.

Take a look, there's still some openings:

While you are "down south", why not come on down to Ocala, Fl. for GOF South on April 19-21.
See our web for more info. www.mgclassics.org
Bob Wrenn

Bob - wow, I wish I had the vacation time to make the full tour - your GOF event, then the Key West "Conch Out" the next week

Ken,
Will you and Melon be going in the A? I've thought about Savannah and Key West...but as of now no real plan. For shure going the the GT at Asheville. Will you be there? Heading to the Amelia Island show in March, but will fly, not drive.
Cheers,
Gerry

Gerry - yes we're taking toe A. Leaving a week ahead to visit friends in VA, do the Outer Banks, take a liesurely drive down the coast plus visit MGA friends Don and Vicki Carlberg in Aiken, SC.

Hope to see you in Savannah!

We also will be at Asheville.

George & Bonnie Kress, Pittsburgh Pa. and Ben & Cindy Nolan Elmer NJ are planing on going to Savannah. I am not sure you remember us Gerry but we traveled together from Reno to San Francisco after the Reno event. Bonnie and I will be trailering our car. That is the only way I can get her to go. Hope to see you there.
GK George

GK,
I'm awful at remembering names...faces I'm great with. Post a picture..:)
I understand your problem with the wife. Mine would not go to the GT this year in the A. She has agreed to go in the B...IF I quite it down..
Might be a trailer in my future as well.
GTF

Reno was great wasn't it? The San Francisco MG club took us on a memorable tour.

George - Great to hear you are coming. If you've never been to a Regional, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The smaller group, compared to a GT, really allows time to get to know the others and share stories.

Gerry - please try to find a way to make Savannah! Melon and I only get to spend a few minutes with you each year at Watkins Glen. We'd really like to have more time to hang out and buy you a Martini or two! Question - is this your roadster?

- Ken

Ken Doris

Sorry Gerry, I am not good at pictures but I was the only single except for you. I missed the tour in SF because when I got to the marina my water pump had gone and I went back to the hotel and put a new water pump on. I have been to two regionals. One in the Poccanos and one in the Soloman Islands. They are great and you get a chance to meet people better that at the GT's
GK George

Ken,
Yes, that is my car. Great shot...I love it! There is a fun story behind the "spank me" sticker. Actually got in the parking lot at Watkins Glen after an Indy Car race. It has brought a lot of smiles.
As much as I would love to see you guys in Savannah I've got a pretty full schedule already. Events planned every month already, plus I'm getting two cars painted and putting a deck on my shop.
I really hate to walk away from a Martini offer..:)

Ken,
Where did you take that photo?
Gerry
G T Foster

Gerry - that was in the parking lot of the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen in 2010. Here's another with Melon next to it.

Sorry you won't make Savannah. I guess we'll have to wait until Asheville to buy you that Martini.

George - we were also at the Solomons Regional in 2011. Your name definitely is familiar. Are you in this picture from the party on the first night?

Holy Cow Ken....Melon is touching my car...and look at what she did to that perfect door...Waaaahahahaha..

Thanks for posting that..it will become a treasured photo....you guys are great friends. This is what MG ownership is all about.
Best regards,
