MG MGA - Seat Base Templates

Hello all,

Its spring work/email time. Do you all have a resource for a scaled template for cutting new seat bases?

My existing bases where made aftermarket and aren't designed to spec.

I had an old origional seat and dissassembled it to use as a pattern to make my new seat bases. I will see if I can find it and let you know. Have a good day!

Following the seat cushion thread I now have a proliferation of original seat bases in my workshop, so let me know if you need any more info or measurements.

There is a guy in Pueblo Co on E-bay that makes them. I bought 2 from him for my MK11.

RH, what did you think of the seat bases you bought from the eBay guy? I've seen them sold for quite a while but haven't known of anyone who actually bought any.

They fit better and were stronger than my homemade ones. He always has an auction going. I offered the minimum on every auction untill he offered to sell them to me at that price. I am very pleased with them. With his bottoms my seats fold up and down without moving. I had made them slightly large and they interfered with the seat back once upholstered. If you are making your own slightly small is better.
