MG MGA - Sebring front Valance

Anyone know where you can get a Sebring metal front valance?

Used to see them advertised on ebay but not lately.

Also, I need new wood seat bottoms for a coupe. Used to see those advertised on Ebay. Don't seem to see those either.

LOL! Getting older and thought I bought what I needed years ago when you could still find parts locally.

I look around now and there's nowhere close to scrounge parts cheap from!

Any help appreciated! :-)

or
The guys at English Parts have got them for less than half that price but you'd need to check if they were metal or glass

I'm not aware of any U.S. based panel banger who still makes the steel Sebring style valence. The last California based vendor stopped making them a few years ago. But, a few UK based makers are still at it: Sports Car Metal Works and Brown & Gammons are two I'm familiar with. These parts are pricey & the challenge these days is shipping, but give them a shout out if you're interested. As for the coupe seat bases, contact Scarborough Faire in RI; they should be able to source them for you locally. And maybe Cecelia will have a lead on a steel valence as well.

Steve,
I love the Sebring front end (no-bumpers) look on the MGA, I have had mine fitted for about 15 years and I wouldn't change it.

But they are very vulnerable to being damaged, I must have had the paint on mine repaired at least 5 times over that time. (Mostly after being damaged by me! :^(

Fortunately, my valence is the GRP version (glass fibre) and is pretty easy and economic to repair.

The reason I say "fortunately" is because on at least two of those occasions, the damage would have been enough to have written off a metal valence which would have been a nightmare to fix/replace.

So I would seriously consider fitting a GRP valence, the Moss version takes a bit of "fettling" to make it fit, but it is so much easier to fix later.

Thanks for the help guys!

Art,
Im trying to be lazy this time....and spend a little money instead of doing all the details myself.
Was hoping to find some one out there still reproducing the wooden bases! :-)
