MG MGA - Silicone hoses
Wondering if anybody is running the silicone radiator hose set from Moss, and can comment on the quality? Do they seal up okay using original wire type clamps? -Del |

Del, I'm using them on my TC and yes, they seal well...but then again the TC system isn't pressurized. Gene |

Yes they are fine |

Del, DON'T use the wire clips, they "bite"into the hoses and can cut them. Get good quality flat clips with a slightly rolled edge. |

I use the wire clamps without noticing any problems |

Dominic, Hope that remains the case, but the manufacturers of silicone hoses are pretty adamant about clips. I must say that I have never re-used wire clips, even on rubber hoses. Just don't like them!! |

Thanks, but if the silicone hoses turn out to be incompatible with the original type clamps, I will find some other hoses. -Del |

Just came across the following, but I'm a little skeptical of the low price compared to the Moss set. https://www.bpnorthwest.com/radiator-hose-kit-silicone-with-clamps-mga.html Of course, no picture. -Del |

I have fitted rubber hoses as originals and used wire clamps on large hoses and Todd Clarke repro clamps on heater hoses. Had a small leak on heater pipe and clamp is fully tightened so am fitting a Jubilee clip to see if it stops the leak, otherwise all works as intended. |
