MG MGA - speechless
Hi all, one for the (very rich) ladies I think http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C144494/ Gordon, I wonder if the tool roll is pink as well |

It's not been done well, look at the warping dash. A below average car that's been modified tastelessly and on the cheap. Will be interesting to see if anyone likes this! Cannot understand the "think of a number and double it" price tag. |

Now this would suit one of our club's female members. She has painted her MGF bright pink. Her dad, an MGA owner, will only go in it if he has a paper bag over his head - seeing this would finish him off I think!! |

Well, I wouldn't worry about the warped dash so much if the sheet metal and rocker panels were sound, but the color is a little over the top. They say that real men can wear pink (shirts), but to purchase something like that, I would have to have to bring it to my body man before it could come home. |

I feel my wrist going limp................ |

It was configured to promote a Barbie-doll accessory, for chrissake! My little sister had one. Odd that a color produces such a response, Jack. I leave it to you to explain. Me, I like the 1940 Ford tail-lights. |

I can ask my wife if should would like it to go with her pink Fiat 500 (old version)!! I restored it a couple of years back and still regret asking her what colour to paint it!! ![]() |
Neil Purves |
I'm with Ken. When you think about it, it is very strange that a mere colour (or color in some parts) should evoke such feelings. Dare I say, that perhaps it doesn't really make Jack's wrist go limp, but provides an opportunity for stereotyping and perhaps, the surfacing of a latent homophobia. "C'mon" I hear you say, "Just a bit of harmless fun." But remember, stereotyping is the first step to prejudice. |

I'm prejudice against men that choose to be like women, and the converse. |
Steve Meline |
Regardless of the colour, it's a poor quality job considering the price. |
Neil McGurk |
Wow! Phillip--somehow I've struck a nerve? |

Gordon Sell the wife (again!). This one is a man's white. Interesting little project car for you: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CLASSIC-LHD-MGA-1500-ROADSTER-1958_W0QQitemZ290414901231QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item439e13b7ef#ht_500wt_1182 Interesting painted wheels. Steve |

Steve, Paint over the wing piping (and fuel tank and wiring!)....looks like a quick "tart-up job" to me. |
Lindsay Sampford |
