MG MGA - speedo or tacho needle

After years of looking I have acquired an original KMH speedo for my car, but it has the wrong needle mounted (a matt alu finish for the centre instead of bright chrome)

It needs a recalibration anyway, but the local guys don't have any of the correct needles. Has anyone got a scrap gauge with the needle going spare?

I need the needle /finger that shows the speed / revs against the dial

That is odd that it would be matte in the center. I would think that Nisonger, West Valley and other instrument repair places would sell you a replacement needle.

The circled area in the picture is what's matte, I assume. Any chance it would polish up?

Make sure you buy a KPH needle, not an MPH one!

Assuming Graeme comment is a joke I do have one on a scrap MPH speedo. It will need the white touching up but I am happy to just pop the needle in the post. Presumably you don't want the rest as it will just make shipping a lot more expensive and probably get stuck in Swiss customs!

Thanks Paul, message sent. I knew I could count on the great guys here.

I am sure that if I sent it to the UK or USA I could get a needle, but the local guy here is really fast, charges less than the usual suspects, he does a great job and the postage is a lot less.

The needle with the matt centre comes from another model that has the same basic speedo, it fits bit it's not correct. It won't polish as it's aluminium not the chromed finish of the MGA original.

Needles are the same for KPH and MPH
