MG MGA - Triumph GT6
Off topic I know, but my son-in-law is trying to remove his rear bumper, but the fuel tank is in the way on the passengers side, and he can't get access to the nuts. Have any of you experience with the GT6? Thanks on his behalf. |

There is a Triumph group on this bulletin board. Click the Triumph entry at the bottom of the page. They have a GT6 section. |

OK, I see a problem having just looked at it. It doesn't seem very active. |

Hi, That's where I started!! |

Here is a more active Triumph site: http://www.triumphexp.com/ which might be worth a try. |

If you promise not to tell anyone, I'll confess to having a Tr@#mph GT6 Workshop Manual in front of me (for sale if you are interested). On page 5.233 is the procedure to remove the rear bumper: Working inside the luggage compartment remove the luggage floor (two pieces). Remove the spare wheel and fuel tank (page 5.221). So in short, yes the tank is in the way and you will have to remove it. If you want, I can scan the pages and mail them to you, but I don't think it's rocket science stuff. (otherwise a Tr@#mph owner wouldn't be able to do it? ;-)) I can be contacted on my vdveery5888 gmail account. BTW, all joking aside, this manual is a lot better than I'm used to when I look at the MG Manuals I collect. ![]() |
