Hi Mark, Yes the MGA in the Lakeland Museum is a black Lancashire Police one - I've been there a couple of times - some people have seen mine and asked if it is the one from the museum!

Makes me feel guilty. I lived in the NW for 20 years and never went there. It's always the same. After you leave an area you think of all the things you did not do.

No TCs in the Beaulieu nor Brooklands motor museums.

The car in the Lakeland museum is incorrectly identified as a deluxe on the information board, possibly something to do with the seats fitted of the same name!

Hi Barney - I spoke with the owner of 592 KTB at the Classic Car Show in Birmingham in 2009 - he has restored it as closely as possible to original police spec but the Tannoy speakers at front and rear are no longer made ( surprise surprise) and he could not get any originals - so he told me that he made the speakers from tin kitchen bowls - they certainly look authentic though.
