MG MGA - VDP Hard Top
Has anyone an idea of the list price of the VDP hardtop when new? Thanks Dominic |

I may have the chance to purchase a slightly damaged aluminium hard top. I believe they are quite rare. If this is so what is the going rate please. (OK I haven't seen it yet and am aware that the value of any damaged item is difficult to comment upon) Any thoughts or guidance welcomed. Sincerely Jerry |

I bought mine as a complete but in need of restoration one for 600USD, but that was a bargain. Normally they go for rather more than 1500USD in that state, and I have seen restored ones offered recently for 5k But I am trying to find the price when they were new back in the late 50's - so if anyone has a price list or an advert or something similar.... |

There are some ads from 50's for Fiberglass Hardtop for sale on UK Ebay #301013214496 and #301013218271. BW |

With a little luck (perhaps a lot of luck required in this case), someone should have retained the invoice from original purchase of an MGA with factory or dealer installed alloy hardtop. |

Thanks Siggi, but in 1962 it would have been the fibreglass top, not the aluminium VDP one So I think I am still on the search for an answer |
