MG MGA - Victoria British..email address?

Has anyone got an email address for VB please?. On their website, it only carrles phone numbers.
Gary Lock

Gary, sorry can't help. Even here in Kasas City, we don't have any e-mail address for them. I suspect your best method of contact considering the time difference would be through their world fax number which is shown on the web site. They don't have much in the way of tech support and I suspect that most of the order takers have never seen an MGA let alone a part for one. Perhaps one of us in the local MGA club might be able to answer your question or make the inquiry at VB for you. http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=56988
or contact me directly, Bill Young bkyoung at kc dot rr dot com

Thanks..will try a fax. What a rediculous way to do business in this world...no email!!!

Don't quote me on this, but I understand that someone is working on a device that allows you to input a unique series of numbers and you can speak directly to a party in another location. If this is true, it is just going to kill email.

There are a lot of us that HATE doing business by email. Email is a LAZY way of doing business. The telephone is a much better customer service tool. I will not use email in my business. If someone wants to talk to me then TALK to me.

Common guys give Gary a break. It's a 16 hour time difference between here in KC and Queensland, so makes phone calls a bit of a hassle. Add in daylight savings time and it's 17 hours so to reach VB during their normal working hours of 8 to 5 CDT he'd have to call between 4pm and midnight his time if my math is correct. Not too bad, but not prime business hours. I coordinated an equipment sale to some chaps down under a few years ago and making contact was a bit of a hassle for us all.

I'm with Gary. Why have fax and refuse to use email? Who possesses a fax machine these days? I threw mine away years ago. If email is so evil, why use this BBS - it's the same principle..... If email is such a bad way to take customer orders or enquiries, why do most businesses use it (and thrive on it?).

Read with extreme interest.

Also, can anyone enlighten me as to what BBS actually stands for?
I was away the day they did acronyms.

Interesting different thoughts regarding doing business via email.

Would of thought if you want my money you would make it as easy as possible for me to contact you. In my work I deal with various people all over the world and email has made life so much more efficient.

I will avoid a business that doesnt have email unless I have absolutely no other option. Then am forced to go via old fashioned means, even then they better provide good service or I will not recommed or be a return customer.

As I live in Australia you get use to working around all the various time differences. Will sit up to watch a good game of Rugby (a rare thing for Wallaby Supporter) but nicer to just send an email about a part for the car.

Gary, I don't know if anyone has answered your request. I have my catalog in front of me, and it indicates:

Ipso Fatso, to quote Archie Bunker. Good luck.

Thanks GAB, but it was the email address that appears to be non-existant. No email, no business as far as I am concerned!

Gary, I'm going out to VB this Saturday, I'll ask about an e-mail address for contact and forward it to you if I get one.

M,
BBS Stands for Bulletin Board System; originally was an attempt to simulate the effects of posting notices on a bulletin board at a store.

I once had a little free booklet I picked up at a computer show that was stuffed full of industry abbreviations. I was particularly amused by TLA.

Gary, You could always email Bill ;-)
