MG MGA - what's it worth...the age old question...Coupe tri
Hi, I have all four pieces of coupe window trim in rechromable condition, the clips too but can't find where I put them ..so forget those...The trims are original chromed brass and still saveable for chroming. I also have an old NOS front windscreen from the 70's and all 3 used pieces of rear glass. I have had this stuff for appx 40 years......... I also have a perfect rechromed rear two piece coupe trim.......the coupe they are from is now never going to be restored by me...as they say....what is it worth?????? thx. |

Only what the highest bidder will pay, you will be surprised |

Wyatt, who made the windscreen that you have (I'm interested in that). George |

George, it's Shat-R-Proof saftey float..appx1/4 thick I am trying to establish an appx value, then I would ebay it, all together, except for the to rears peices that I already chromed....... |

OK, thanks Wyatt. Perhaps you could give us folks here on the BBS a heads-up when you're ready to put on e-bay.... |

Probably not the answer you're looking for Wyatt, but as Cliff pointed out, it's worth whatever the highest bidder is willing to shell out. That's the beauty of an open auction system like ebay. The market decides what the value of the item is. |

...I understand fellas, and thanks..I just wanted to get an idea for a reserve....... |

Wyatt, While its true that its worth what someone will pay, we've all seen what they've sold for in the past and I think that what Wyatt wants to know. I've been keeping my eyes out for the chrome trim which I couldn't afford before and certainly can't afford now. The good ones seem to ebay in the $350-$450 range. The rear glass nearer to a couple hundred as I recall, I don't know about the windshield. Randy Myers '59 roadster, coupe '75B |

I looked a long time for those pieces back in the 80's so they have to be near impossible to find now. I paid 50 pounds for all 4 of them,it cost that much again to ship them from England.Double that for rechroming and I was all set.At the time it pained me to pay that, but that was the last thing I needed to complete it. Cannot beat the look tho- |
