MG MGA - WIND STOP (BLOCKER)

DO THEY EXIST. DO THEY WORK. WHERE CAN I GET ONE FROM
JOHN AUSTERFIELD

Hi John, half the fun is the wind in my hair - what there is left of it!- those blockers are for wimps in their modern cars - having said that I do have wind wings fitted rather than use the side screens.
Cam Cunningham

Hi Cam, I totally agree,i would like the wind in my hair you've guest it I am bald. the request is for the wife
JOHN AUSTERFIELD

John,
Yes they do exist.
Got one on mine.
LBC do them in the States.

Got one on my 61 ( and from LBC )...the supports need a wee bit of 'fitting' ( technical jargon for bending ) but there are no holes to drill or mods to MGA. It sits right behind the head but is easily removed. Worthwhile ( for persuading 'her-indoors' to come for a drive ) but not wonderful!!

Does anyone have images of these both installed and not.

Here is a pic off the web ( not mine ) and the guy looks very high in his seat!!...not the most attractive accessory. Too close to the back of seat and the ugly protrusion on each side ..yuck!! I keep mine off but when the lady wants a drive..out it comes.
There is plenty of room in the market for a better designed and shaped unit ( preferably of mesh . This design is a one size fits all ( TR,mgb etc etc ) and it does not.

another pic...off the Little British car site....get the side screens !!!

Just came across this on a website and the windblocker looks well fitted, of mesh and a big improvement on the crude plastic thing I have . The picture was put in by a gent with the moniker of BOB WELSH ,Lincolnshire..is he on this BBS and does anyone know him so I can get more details of this very neat looking device??
