MG MGA - Windscreen Wiper Motor Pushrod ?

Does anyone have a broken wiper motor from which they could sell me the pushrod?
My pushrod the bush at one end has come off and it flops about inside the motor which may eventually cause it to jam.

Alas no separate part number for this part, as it was no doubt supplied by Lucas as a complete item, thus see attached photo.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

I have been working on fitting a 2-speed MGB motor to my MGA recently and I have had the motor covers off quite a few times to change the gearwheel.

I am certain that the MGA crank you have is the same as the one fitted to the 2-speed motor. My MGAs flexy drive rack definitely fits into the crank with no problem.

It looks like you can buy these cranks from Stafford Vehicle Components here in the UK website s-v-c.co.uk
Look under Wiper Systems and Parts

(You may be able to get these MGB motor parts in Oz)

I cant check that these cranks are identical until next week as I am away from home but I will have a look at them for you and measure them when I get back if you wish.

(this is the first time I have attempted to post a website link on the forum and so I hope it works)

Thanks Colyn, I have asked if they can supply.

Cheers

The Lucas partnumber is 754913, but beware, according to a discussion on the Triumph forum, there could be two lenghts, see http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/27344-wiper-motor/

Sorry this is not something that I can help you with, I would recommend trying Steve Hunt on steve@stevehunt.demon.co.uk 01217770071 he specialises in obsolete Lucas wiper parts.

Thanks Rutger, I will measure mine and ask Steve Hunt above if he can supply.

Mine has the brass bush at the end broken off.

Thanks
Mark

Whilst doing an Ebay trawl for Lucas car jacks I spotted a Lucas parts seller. He appears to have wiper motor parts covered off in his shop listing:
