MG MGA - wrench for differential plug
Where is a good place to find a square plug type wrench to remove the filler plug on the differential? Is there a trick to checking the level and filling to the correct level? Thanks- Bill from Ann Arbor |

I use a 3/8 in ratchet handle, does the job just fine. The fill level is correct when the car is sitting on level ground and adding more oil makes it dribble out of the filler hole. There's no way to check the level other than putting your finger through the hole and seeing if you get oil on the end of it. |

Take a large bolt, cut it short and grind a tapered square plug on the end to match the hole. |

I took an old 1/2" drive extension and ground it to fit. |
