MG MGA - zeon bulbs?

Is it possible to fit an zeon lighting system to my A Roadster
c allen

Anything is possible - all it takes is $$$$ Cheers - Dave

I did a web search on Zeon and all I found was a company that makes neon signs and, on Wikipedia, this:

For the Judaic religious concept of Zion which can be confused with this subject's title due to differences of romanization, see Zion. For the boiling water added to the chalice during the Divine Liturgy, see Zeon (liturgy). For the Shining Force II character called Zeon, see Shining Force II. For the Konjiki no Gash Bell!! character called Zeon, see Zeno and Dufort.

So what is zeon lighting?

Try "xenon". It is a lot like halogen lamps, but at lower pressure. I see lots of smaller bulbs, but so far haven't seen a Xenon sealed beam head lamp.

Moss UK were selling a HID kit for A's, to replace H4's. £148.

Haven't tried them myself.

You can do a lot better than the Moss pricing by searchubf for "dual beam h4 Xenon" on flabby. For example see the auction here ; free shipping in the USA and a complete kit... 330568751529

Been wondering about this too, but still have a lot of other things to do first.

If I was setting priorities I would do the conversion to LEDs at the rear first - a HUGE improvement over stock, especially for a 1500
dominic clancy

The Wagner Brite Lite H6024BL has Xenon gas and is a sealed beam head lamp that fits right in. I had them on my MGA (w/no extra relay) and loved them. Made the visibility at night, better than many modern cars. No need to go to HID IMHO.

Thanks all for your replies. Chuck, The Wagner Brite Lite seems worth investigating for my roadster. Are these lights on high beam xeon as I have an Hid with xeon system on my old dodge caravan but this is only on low beams although it is a great improvement even on lb Thanks so much. Clive

Chuck - I just ordered 2 of the Wagner Brite Lite H6024BL from Amazon for $19.95 each. If they are half as good as you and the reviewer on Amazon say, they will be well worth it! On each of our long trips, the one thing I dread is winding up a long day driving at night, or eve worse, at night in the rain. Hopefully these will make those adventures more enjoyable.
Thanks! - Ken

Im just up grading from the old pre-focus bulbs to sealed beams. Maybe in another 50 years i'll get to halogen..
David Lake

OK, "Xenon" I know. Didn't connect the two. Thanks, Barney.
