MG MGB Technical - Banjo Diff Builder London ish ?
Anyone know someone who can rebuild a banjo diff for me? I'm changing out the C/W and pinion for a different ratio. Preferably near London ? Cheers Mark |

Mark have you tried Heathrow transmissions -advertise in Safety Fast? George |

Have now, so many thanks George. 3.7 banjo is what I'm trying to create after buying the very rare gears in 2006. Cheers Mark |

Mark, are these the gears that are manufactured in Germany? If so, have the person setting them up be extra careful. They tend to be very noisy if every precaution isn't taken when setting them up. RAY |

Hi Ray, Despite a couple of emails to the vendor, I have no idea yet where they were manufactured. Perhaps someone on this BBS knows where Autogear gets their diff parts? Your not the only one to ask who made them. It seems badly made (perhaps Chinese) gears will always be noisy even if setup correctly. Perhaps this is why Autogear no longer sell them. Still the idea of a nice motorway cruzing gear ratio is very appealing. Cheers Mark |

While being enormously late to this one, I'd like to give a top notch review to Heathrow Transmissions - they rebuilt my 3 synchro, non-OD box and were fast, efficient, knew their stuff and made it all as simple as could be. Good price, too, I wouldn't use anyone else (and although I'm from London, these days I'm based over 100 miles away). Anyway, FWIW! Piers |
