MG MGB Technical - Boot lid seal
Anyone know of a UK source for the correct foam-filled seal that goes on the boot lid, and not the incorrect stuff pictured here?

Have you tried Woolies? |

Baines might be able to supply it. http://www.coh-baines.co.uk/ See their downloadable catalogue, page 90 (sponge rubber extrusions), item ref SRS 108 (you'll need to ask them about dimensions). |

Couldn't see anything at Woolies, found possibles at http://www.phoenixtrim.co.uk/Documents/M%20G%20Cat%20Lea%20July%202012.pdf also SRS108 and described as MGB inner tailgate sponge section, and http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=68 SRS1920 also MGB type inner tailgate seal. My V8 inner seal does appear to be the same as my roadster. More than you can shake a stick at with Baines, but hoping to get a confirmation as to which one actually does the job. |

Paul, there is a company called Paul Beck of Vintage supplies. he sells all sort of rubber seals and his web site shows a good picture of the seal. So at least you know what your getting. Hope this helps. |

SRS 108 from Phoenix, Baines and Martins Rubber looks to to be the one. Only Phoenix quote a price so that's the one we are going for. |
