MG MGB Technical - CAMSHAFT IDENTIFICATION

I have discovered a camshaft on my back shelf that is a mystery to me. I do not remember getting it.(second sign of OLD AGE) It is apparently new and has the words PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFT ON THE SIDE IN LARGE MARKER PEN. On the end of the box it is marked as follows on one end of box

C6012 United Kingdom
12340731----91-36-330
On the other end it is marked
Country England
C 8012
Can anyone help in identification?

A series or B series? Oil pump drive on the back end? pictures somewhere? How sure of those marks are you? Note C6012 & C8012. 731 is a competition grind for an A series, many B series grinds are the same timing as A series. The 91-36-330 could be a form of timing figures,used in machine setup, probably at the cam without any clearances included, as they are a bit steep for "as installed" timing. Is it "Country" or "County" - the name of a supplier of parts.

Are you sure it doesn't say "County" rather than Country?

Sounds like a County brand standard UK camshaft which is part number C6012 - equivalent to the factory part no 88G303

Thank you for the help. I will check the spelling tomorrow morning. It is possible it is county.

Thank you for the help and I checked the brand . It is COUNTY. Memory loss is the second sign of old age. Reading properly may be the third.It now means that I have a new camshaft for sale.Ebay here it comes.

Chris; Do you have an address for County Brand camshafts. The one I have is not stamped or marked in any way except a blue painted band.
