Not sure if you got all you wanted from Michel's site.
I have an 18GG engine in my '72 Roadster and the dimensions of the dip stick are:
Length from top of seal to tip - 286mm
Length from top of seal to Max - 240mm
Distance between Max & Min - 9mm

I noticed the dipstick on my '72 GT it is less than a quart between the low and high mark more like 3/4 quart.
Why isn't it a quart?

Maybe they calculated the marks on what they considered was the minimum and maximum oil levels for the engine. Even if it had been an exact quantity unless you let it get right down to the min before topping up you shouldn't be using a 'containerful' anyway, but topping up only as far as the max mark. Overfilling can be as bad as too little. Personally I only allow mine to get half-way down.
