MG MGB Technical - Engine Builders in the South East, US
I'm in the process of rebuilding a 1979 MGB LE and am considering a performance rebuild per Peter Burgess' book. Anyone know of a good rebuilder or machine shop preferably in the southern Virgina or North Carolina region. Thanks |

Motion Machine in Danville, Va is very good. Dale can do just about anything. I do not have an address other than Danville,Va. Steve |

Dick, There are two that I know by reputation. One is in Blowing Rock, NC and his name is Jack Austin. His Email is jackscars@charter.net and he has a website which is www.jackscars.net. I just tried his website before sending this post and it seems to be down at the moment. The other one is Hap Waldrop and he is the owner/operator of Acme Speed Shop in Greenville, SC. His email is hapwaldrop@acmespeedshop.com and his website is www.acmespeedshop.com. Hope this will be of help. Cheers - Dennis |

I personally know all three of the proprietors of the shoppes listed above. You cannot go wrong with any of these gentlemen. |

Rick, Thanks. Motion Machine in Danville is close to Clarksville. Also saw an article in the MGV8 magazine on this facility. While I'm not looking for a V8, I'll contact Dale and see what he can do for me. At this point I want a good, reliable, fast road engine. |
