MG MGB Technical - Fitting AccuSpark with a Ballast Resistor?

I have managed to fit my accu spark ignition kit but I am unsure as to where to hook up the live cable. On a normal non ballast resistor B it would be connected direct to the coil however this is a 78 B so has a ballast wire in it. The instructions say to connect direct to the fuse box or the wire before the ballast. has anybody else had this problem if so where and how did you connect this up?

If you spare terminal in your fusebox where the white wires are connected, you can connect it to there.

I will have a look tonight I take it the white wire is from the ignition switch?

Should be white/brown on a 78, from the ignition relay, but otherwise that is the place to connect it to. Should already be four wires occupying both spades though. Don't use Scotchlok connectors, they go unreliable over time, fit a piggy-back spade (http://www.mgb-stuff.org.uk/osr1.htm#3) to the new wire then put that on the fusebox and the removed white/browns on that.

Just a bit of trivia. The piggy back spade, I know what it looks like but in my early days one called these spade terminals and the female sides to them, Lucar connectors? Is this term incorrect? or is there another terminal that is called Lucar? Here is Australia, I have been met with blank faces when I ask for these. Mike

I've always known them as Lucar connectors
