MG MGB Technical - Front pulley timing marks
Can anyone help, how many degree's are there between each timing pointer on an 18V engine. The car handbook is no help and the Haynes manual is a usual bl**dy useless. Hopefully John |

Thanks for that Dave, my timing marks are at approx 11 O' clock, but the marks will surely be the same between each point. John |

Hi all, My 18V 847 has a slightly different "marker" 0-20 Deg BTDC with each division being 5 Deg, but my direction of rotation DOR is Clockwise when looking at the Pulley! Marks are at 11 o'clock. Rees |

Hi Rees, thanks for your information, my "B" is an 18V 836 so it is very close to yours and is the same configuration. All is good now, I needed this info as the car was running like a dog and was due for it's French MOT which it passed. They are a bit fussy about tyres though lol. regards John |

"but my direction of rotation DOR is Clockwise when looking at the Pulley!" All MGBs are clockwise when looking at the pulley. |
