MG MGB Technical - GT Rear quarter windows
I'm trying to fit the rear quarter windows in my GT but the new rubber moulding seems too fat. I can't compress it enough, even carefully using a G-cramp, to get the hinge screws to line up. Does anyone know if some mouldings are incorrect? If so, where could I source better ones from? I'm scared stiff of breaking the glass. |

Mike Been a few years since I installed mine, but remember I had the same issue. I think I put the window in with the screws loose and then installed the molding and tightened it down. At least I think I did it that way. |

Thanks guys. I think I'll try Bruce's technique. If that doesn't work I'll see about seals from Moss. |

I ended up doing the same as Bruce. The new seals for both qtr. windows and for doors all seem to be just a bit thicker even under compression. Paul Briggs |

Yes I've succeeded in fitting the windows this afternoon using Bruce's method. Worked a treat. Thanks. |

Well, my memory must not be as bad as my wife says. Glad it worked Mike. |
