MG MGB Technical - Koni rear shocks - help!
Just received Koni kit for my 66B. There are 8 small nyloc nuts and 4 sprung washers in the pack, no idea why. Presume adaptor plate is attached using existing shock absorber bolts? Plates are marked L and R I presume this is viewed from the front. Adjustment instructions included are useless and their web page is not helpful. It refers to cams which are not there on the model I have (80). Any ideas appreciated before I go mad! Regards, John |

john in general left and right are as you sit in the car with both hands on the wheel RIC |

Thanks Ric, you're right. Been on to club, nylocs are for reversing spring plates over. Instructions were incomplete, club are sending them. Regards, John |

I would assume they're there for noise reduction. |

Not sure about noise, the nylocs are replacements so the old nuts can be discarded. While the springs are apart I've ordered polybush pads, thought I would give them a try. Also found I have heavier duty u bolts in my spare parts bin. Presume they are an uprated version. Ashamed to say that my passenger side lever arm looked like its been there for 43 years! John |

Why ashamed? If it works and doesn't leak congratulations are in order! |

Paul, definitely a good piece of engineering. I'm keeping them in case I wish to revert in the future. Not to sure about the quality of the re-con units though. John |
