MG MGB Technical - Nuts & Bolts etc

Does anyone have or, can they suggest a source which lists all the bolts etc by size and location. used on MGBs and where particularly 1968 models.
Thank you.

Wow that's a big ask, haven't seen such a resource. But the interwb is probably the best place to search.

I have 2 lists (Excel) that I acquired from people on this BB or the web. I can email them to you

Parts Catalogue probably lists most, although in quite a few cases they are 'anonymous' i.e. no indication of which part they are associated with, although it can often be guessed at. Also a translation of part number to description here http://www.mgb-stuff.org.uk/partnos.htm

Moss use exploded views in their catalogue which are very useful, you can usually hover to get the full part description.

Gentlemen

Thank you for your replies which are excellent and very quick.
Paul thank you for your list and John I would be pleased to get your lists (you can't have too many lists). My email is rmarshall123@btinternet.com. NB Marshall with 2 l's followed by a 1(one)- this type face is not very clear.

Why I asked this question is because we have to replace one sill and whilst the MGB GT is in the shop I am having other things done such as a new boot floor and as you will know many fastenings are NBG. Sadly there are no shops/stores who stcok imperial fasteners and so I want to ensure that I get the correct ones in the mail.

Thank you
R J Marshall

RJM,
Land rover spares stock imperial (UNF) fasteners, for obvious reasons. Even the later Defenders have many imperial sizes as a result of the use of parts from much earlier models.

"you can't have too many lists"

I well remember in the 70s when the UK decimalised and I was on the team that organised the replacement of the coin slots on all the public and private phone boxes in the West Midlands. There were a number of sources of information about these phone boxes, and so as to be sure of not missing any we had to cross-check each one against all the others. That was all done though paper lists in those days, and when the team leader kept coming up with another source of info the cry would go up "Oh no, not another list ..."
