MG MGB Technical - Oil pressure gauge/line gasket?
I am ready to put the dash back in my '77 B. There appears to be (part of) a paper gasket where the oil line attaches to the back of the oil pressure gauge. I don't see one in the parts catalog and it would be a bear to make as it's so little. Anybody made one or used something else? Regards, David |

Original was leather, but a proper sized 'O' ring will work. Cheers - Dave |

Thank you David! |

Never seen one in there and it shouldn't be necessary as the "pip" on the gauge seals into the recess on the pipe. |

My old 70 GT used to leak a bit there and I remember hearing there was supposed to be a leather washer (which wasn't there). As David mentioned I fixed mine with a suitable O-ring. |

I would have thought so as well Chris, but there's definitely the remnants of an old seal/gasket on the end of my oil line, it appears original. David |

Think mine has a small fibre washer in it? probably better than an o ring. |
