MG MGB Technical - Rear Wheel Cylinders - Difference
What is the bore on the rear wheel cylinders for a '73 B? I see that Moss lists 0.875" and 0.800". Would the 180-635 be correct for my car? Thank you! Zach |

I think that would depend on whether it's a GT or a roadster. |

The GT uses the larger bore cylinder. RAY |

I gather there is also a difference in the position of the locating peg. My GT axle appears to have had the back plates redrilled to accomodate roadster cylinders. Are they externally the same size as I think I have replacement roadter cylinders for it. |

Steve Externally they are identical. There is a whole range of different sizes for Minis, Spridgets, Bs, etc. They are all interchangeable, other than the roll pin is in a different location to stop you from fitting the 'wrong' one. |

GT are 0.875", roadster 0.8", although GTs only changed to the larger bore in 68. V8s use the same as the roadster. |
