MG MGB Technical - Seat covers
Does anyone know if the seat covers off a 66 chrome bumper MGB GT will fit the seats off a 74 cb MGB GT. I know the latter ones have holes for the head rest but I am hoping that that can be altered. Grateful for any advice |

Check out the Moss or MGOC catalog. I believe that the seat frames were different and that the foams were different. To the best of my knowledge, the early and late covers do not interchange, but the seats themselves will. I am using the later seats (from a 79) in my 68GT and like them much better than the earlier seat style. Les |

Thanks for that. Just checked Moss and you are right there is a difference. |

N- The seat frames are different, so the seat covers won't fit properly. However, if you want custom seat covers for the later seats that incorporate styling features of the early covers, PJM Motors can make them for you. They did this for the seat covers on my MGC and the quality was excellent, right down to matching the color of the piping to that of my paint. Click on this: http://www.pjm-motors.co.uk/ |
