MG MGB Technical - Smiths Tachometer RVC 1410/00
Does any one know where I can locate an electrical schema for the Smiths RVC 1410/00 tachometer please? Thanks Paul |

Hi, May be here http://members.shaw.ca/tsmit/tachmod/tachmod.html or here http://www.classictiger.com/techtips/motach.html Regards |

Thanks Michel. I found these earlier but they do not correspond to the type fitted to the MGBs - it is the RVC 1410/00AF type that I am after please. Paul |

Those *were* fitted to the MGB up to 1972 i.e the current pulse RVI type. From 1973 on the RVC voltage pulse type was fitted and I have never seen a schematic of those, but would be interested to do so, so if you find one please post it! |

Hi Paul Nothing found so far!! Sorry. I will keep looking and I would appreciate if other BBS readers can advise if they have anything. Thanks Paul |

What is the difference please between a 1410/00 and a 1410/00AF anyone? |
Paul Barrow |
It's going to be very minor, possibly face-plate markings or internal component/assembly factors. It isn't going to have any effect on the operation of the car. |

There's a mention of this at http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?2,1179,1496 John |

Maybe 'AF' stands for 'Adjustment Fixed' then :o) |

I am amazed that no one seems to have, or be prepared to release if they do have, the schematic for the 1410/00. Surely someone must have one please? Paul |
