MG MGB Technical - Spacer specs

If anyone has their front hubs off could you PLEASE measure the wheelbearing spacer that the inner seal runs on for me
The outside diameter and the length please, just within a mm or a half mm will do
Cheers

Willy,

One I have from a steel-wheel hub is:

at inner seal end, body diam. 41mm
but
given the chamfered outer lip at that end, measure of od on the end flat is 39mm

overall length is 39.5mm

remember, the body tapers toward the outer end.

Someone may be able to more precisely measure with more sophisticated tools.

Thanks for the measurements, but I might have confused things calling it a spacer--
I'm actually after the measurements of the collar that slides on the stub axle that the seal runs on--sorry for the confusion there

Willy,

All good, I assumed spacer was sound and inner bearing for your "inner seal".

Someone will be along shortly with what you want - I don't have a sound collar to work from.

It might be worth asking on the MGA board, as it appears to be the same part for the Twin Cam & Deluxe.

It's also a little busier over there ;o)

Willy,i was also a bit confused by your description, we always call them the seal runners, anyway the size is OD 1.889" and the thickness is 0.392"and the thickness of the raised part that the wheel bearing spacer actually contacts on is 0.414" (so you have a 0.022"step on the front face) sorry its in imperial but I don't do metric.

Thanks guys

Just converting a car that had some modified brakes on it back to std. and was having trouble getting the rotor to line up with the calipers, from your specs it appears there has been 0.164" machined off the face of the 'runners' they are 0.250"
I found a piece of 2" stainless just long enough to make a couple so all good
Could always just buy some I suppose but there's no fun in that is there----------?
THANKYOU for your help
