Whats the standard spring length of the front springs on an MGB, I need to lower mine !

You can't just cut them if you are thinking of doing that. That changes the spring rate as well as the length. You need to get shorter, but stiffer springs. Moss do sell lowered springs for just this.

Why do you want to do this? Is yours a Rubber Bumper model? Or are you building a racer for track use?

I have a set of springs sitting in a box just wanted to know if these are the shorter ones , rather than pull the ones off the car , I have put different tyres on the car 55 proflie ND 15" Rims it still sits quite high. need to change the rears as well but don't want blocks a i will track day the car.
