Who still supplies 165 80 14s in the UK? |

Google Blackcircles I"ve just bought a set of Uniroyal rainexperts. Not bad on price. |

Checked their website for you Paul. It seams I must have the last set of Uniroyals they only showw Falken now in 165 but I believe they have some 175s |

There is a company in Macclesfield that I was thinking of buying a set of tubes and tyres from. I will see if I can find the details. |

I got Barum Brilliance the last 2 times I needed a pair of 80s and now have them all round. They are fine and seem to be lasting well. I think Barum are Conti's "value" brand. I hope they are still available. They replaced Firestones which are NLA. |

I'd already found Black Circles but as you say they only have Falken now in 165, I'd rather have had a 'name'. There's no problem with 175/70s on the front, but they are a bit close to the arches at the rear. |

Have a look at mytyres. They have several including Michelin |

Paul, FWIW I have 175/75s and, whilst close to the lip at the rear, have never suggested any rubbing. Day and touring driving, somewhat spirited on hills/curves etc, no competition driving. My axle is pretty well centred to the outer edges of the guards, if I am recallng correctly, a couple of mm offset to the left. Regards Roger |

For years, 185-70 on Rostyles were routine fitment over here. Easy to get when 165-80 were not. Rarely had any problem with rubbing. Now 185-70 are scarcer and people fit all sorts of strange rubber bands. FRM |

It could be argued that Falken are a 'name'. They've been around a long time and have been used as the control tyres for various race chamionships over the years, including a Porsche championship. http://www.falkentyres-uk.com/home.aspx |

Paul, you'll get Uniroyals at MGB Hive for £39.95 each and a next day delivery to boot. |

Since spoken to my son who has Falken winter tyres for his BMW M Coupe and they are apparently a 'name' in BMW circles (no pun intended). |
