MG MGB Technical - Under Bonnet Suggetion?
Hi all, been a while. Now I have time to give the car a tidy up whilst sorting other issues. What is the best option for me? I want to sort the underneath of the bonnet and looking for some suggestions. I would prefer not to put the same stuff back on which has come off and made it look how it does now. Obviously I need to remove the excess but wonder what is the best stuff to use on it i.e hammerite? ![]() |

Either clean it off completely and paint, get some High temp adhesive and fit new sound deadening or clean off and apply stonechip with a shutz gun and then paint. Hammerite will look rubbish IMO |

What is the best sound deadening to buy then? |

The proper stuff for the MGB from the usual suspects i.e. BHH925 and BHH926 ... |

Ricey, pull off the loose bits still on the underside of the bonnet and forget about it for now you've got pressing things to do on the car with use of the car you might decide you don't need them anyway |

Ok thanks Nigel, got to work on my light issue, wiper issue and fuel gauge issue first. |
MD Rice |
yes just three of the more pressing issues on the car and that's not allowing for the many, many you've yet to encounter |

I've set a date for it to be ready. I want it ready and fully happy with it by Goodwood next year or the British Grand Prix. |
