Oh and if anyone in the uk wants a free click adjust just drop me a mail. spanner and srewdriver was so much easier this is a nice looking piece of kit but not for me or maybe a swap for something ! Richard- For the Piper 270 the Intake Valve Clearance is .014”/.35mm, and the Exhaust Valve Clearance is .016”/.40mm. |

Richard, I bought a Delta KB grind, which I think is similar to the Piper 270. I was told I could go with 0.014 / 0.014 or I could go with 0.014 in and 0.016 ex. YMMV. Charley |

Are these hot or cold sizes Thanks Richard H |

Richard- These setings are to be done with the engine cold. |

Richard, I bought and fitted a Piper HR270 this time last year and still have the installation data if you want a copy. Valve clearances are 12thou inlet and 14 thou exhaust (set cold). George |

Thanks for your advice that clears that one up nicely, thanks for the offer George should be ok now Regards Richard H |

FWIW on my Piper cam the spec sheet didn't specify hot or cold, so just to be sure I called Piper and was told that all of their spec sheet clearances are for HOT engines. I called them again in case someone had got it mixed up the first time and was given the same answer. |

So steve just to confirm 12thou inlet, and 14 thou outlet, set with engine hot, on an 1860 engine. Regards Richard H |
