MG MGB Technical - Victoria British Stainess Brake Hoses?
I'd like to hear opinions of this product before I make a purchase. Pros, cons or comments appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Dan scroll down on this page to Dave Cuhna thread. We discussed this question quite thoroughly there. Mike |

What is the brand of the hoses? Are they Goodridge? |

Actually Bruce Cunha, thread lower down this page. Mike |

So they are not compatible without modification? |

Dan, They fit the car fine, but the size of the base nut for the fittings is smaller than the original so your locking sleeve does not work. I took off the locking sleeves and used a lock washer under the nut. Since you have the brake line pipe above the locking nut, it would be fairly hard for the line to come apart. If you had a concern about it moving, you can also drill a small hole and put a safety wire on it. I have not been able to run the car so can't say how they will work, but for the price, they are a good buy. They are Goodrich hoses. |

I fitted the Goodrich ones last year and they seem fine. Last year I drove many kilometres across Australia with no problems. The lockwashers are convenient but not essential. Of course I will be watching them closely. |
