MG MGB Technical - which modern battery 12v fits a pull handle B

I need to replace a battery in a pull handle B that is about 50km away. Can anyone give me the type number of the 12v battery that fits?

Varta B35 a la Fiat Punto seems to be the current battery of choice...

Footprint is the same as a 6v, but slightly shorter

Yes to Varta B35. Spot on fit. Just needed a spacer on the clamp as they are a bit long.

I put a Bosch Gold in mine as its a smaller opening in the battery box on the MkI car.
